I bought two of these beds. The first set-up was slow, but somewhat easy to follow. The second went by much faster. I was really happy that all of the pre-drilled holes and parts all aligned perfectly and the end product is solid and very nice. My kids love the book shelves! A little worried with the plastic drawer rails, but they seem solid. We'll see. [...]

My 9 year old is ecstatic about her new bed and bookcase headboard. It's sturdy, well designed, well-made. The instructions for assembly could have been a little clearer, but were adequate. All in all, I'm quite satisfied.

This is the perfect bed for our 6 year old granddaugther. The size is just right and she has plenty of space in her room to play. The free mattress was a nice extra. I look forward to buying more items from Hayneedle.

I did not realize the time involved in assemblying. I bought 3 beds and have only had the time to assemble the beds which took several hours each. Still have to complete the bookshelf/headboard part.
My children said they are being scraped all the time by the rough edges and don't like it.
