This twin-over-full bunk bed, a Hayneedle exclusive you won't find anywhere else, is crafted with super-durable, tubular metal finished in a contemporary black shade. An included ladder attaches to the bed, sitting between the lower and upper bunk well above the floor, so tiny toes won't get caught. The top bunk is outfitted with slatted guard rails for maximum safety, too. Just let kids pick out their plain or patterned bedding, make up their mattresses, and take in the harmonious sight - at least for the next 10 minutes.
Mattress height should not exceed 8 inches; manufacturer recommends using a 6-inch thick mattress.

Easy to put together. Haven't used it yet but it appears sturdy.
Service and delivery comments:
2 days late on arrival & delivered at 7pm in the evening. Packaging was horribly damaged & package containg screws was torn with a few loose screws rolling around in the box. Some damage to the metal bed but not enough to go through the hassle of returning it and waiting for another one to arrive. You have a good product but please work on your shipping.

Needed extra sleeping space for a super small apartment. This was a perfect addition without taking up to much space. It also arrived ahead of schedule which was greatly appreciated
