This no-nonsense bunk bed, a Hayneedle exclusive you won't find anywhere else, is crafted with super-durable, tubular metal finished in a sleek silver shade. An included ladder attaches to the bed, sitting between the lower and upper bunk well above the floor, so there's no chance of tripping over bottom rungs. The top bunk is outfitted with slatted guard rails for maximum safety, too, no matter the age or size of the sleeper.
Mattress height should not exceed 8 inches; manufacturer recommends using a 6-inch thick mattress.

We are using this twin over full bunk beds for our 6-1/2 year old twin granddaughters (approx 63 lbs each and about 42 inches tall). They both still like to share a bed when they come over so the bottom full sized bunk is perfect. When they both get a little older and want some space to themselves it will be nice to have the upper twin so they can each have their own bed! Also wanted to mention the beds are sturdy enough so an adult could actually sleep on them as well, this is a plus because the "grandkids" room is also our guest bedroom - these beds are definitely sturdy, a huge plus for us!!

The product was delivered promptly, but that box seemed to have been dropped from sky to a mud hole, ripped open and resealed but not completely! When I find time soon, I am going to have to double check for missing parts! Very disappointed; it robbed me of any feelgood feeling from shopping.

I bought this bunkbed for my two daughters age 13 and 7. I constructed the bed with a lot of diffculty. A problem with 2 misaligned drill holes (as mentioned by another reviewer). I looked at the finished product and realized only my seven year old could sit up in the bottom bunk without hitting her head on the top bunk. The main reason I purchased a twin over full bunkbed was to use the bottom bunk as a guest bed. This bed is okay for children under 10, but not a good choice for teens. I looked at the dimensions of the bed on the website and nowhere does it mention distance from bottom bunk to top bunk. All in all I am disappointed with my purchase and do not recommend this product.

Looks terrific. Sleek, not cheap looking. Would be perfect except for the drill-hole issues with two wrong holes on the twin top where it attaches to the support beam--Managed to get it put together without these two, but it isn't as secure and I don't feel like an adult could sleep up there and it looks dopey to have holes without screws, so not very happy about that--so much for purchasing it for the heavy weight-load limit--now it can't be trusted. Figured it would be too much of a hassle to try to put it back on the 18-wheeler and try to get an exchange. The freight company had 8 to noon written on my drop slip, told me 10-2 when they made the appointment, and arrived at 3:30. If it weren't for the genuine friendliness and helpfulness of the driver, I would have been more irritated. Unlike other reviewers that had shipping/box issues, mine was intact and all the parts were there and in good shape. Irritated about the drill holes that aren't aligned. ARGH!

Exactly as described. Strongest bed we could find for the price (many similar beds have lower weight limits making them useless for a guess bedroom). Delivery was smooth. Assembly was kind of a pain (although I did it myself); a second pair of hands would have made it much easier. If I had someone helping me, we probably would have had it done in about an hour. Besides the issues I had with trying to balance the frame and bunk platform while threading a bolt, the assembly was a breeze. Had it for a day now; seems very sturdy and looks very nice.
