This bunkbed set easy splits into two twin beds if prefered. Underbed clearance is 10.5 inches. Mattresses are sold separately.

The only negative thing i would say about this bed is that there is very little room in the bottom bunk. For my 2 year old it's ok but as he gets bigger there may be some clastrophobia and some bumping of the head on the top bunk.
Otherwise, it is beautiful and very sturdy.

Very happy with the bed, especially for the price. It was for a summer house. Only issue was that one of the bolt and toggles had mismatched threads (did not screw together correctly). Easy to put together. Simple nice looking bunkbed.
