This bed is the step up for my 4 year old, and we got it with the plans of keeping it until she moves out! I hope that it lasts. It's a great looking bed, and we were worried it wouldn't match the antique stain of her armoire, but it matches perfectly! My husband put it together and said it was so easy. The drawer/cabinet part was already together and just slides under the bed, so there is no assembly of that part. He didn't like the fact that the drawers only have one support beam in the middle, and they are a little wobbly going in and out. I wouldn't put anything too heavy in them. But after she grows out of toys, we will probably use that part for clothes and smaller things. We were able to fit all her stuff that we needed in the bed, along with a toy chest. There is that sticker on the foot of the bed that we couldn't get fully off (just like the other reviewers said), but it's not a big deal and we will use goof off, or whatever that stuff is. I'm very pleased!

The product must have come straight from the factory because you could tell by the smell that it was freshly varnished. It was very easy to assemble. They could mention that the side without drawers is totally open. It wasn't a big deal in my case because the open side was going up against the wall anyway. Also, I would suggest not getting to thick of a mattress with this bed. The mattress we bought sits up enoigh to cover half of the bookcase. It is also just a little too tall for my six year old. He has a little trouble climbing in. It is a good solid, sturdy bed with a very decent amount of storage.

My four year olds love the beds. The only problem is it is tall and they need a stool to climb in bed. Easy to assemble. Good quality.

It arrived mostly together and was easy to finish setting up. Nice and sturdy, the eight year old boy who got this is very pleased. One drawback is that the drawers could use a better track system, but overall a very nice piece of furniture.
