Filling kids' rooms with all the essentials can be tough, considering busy little ones generally have so many toys, games, and art projects claiming valuable floor real estate. Streamline playtime and interior design with the Build-A-Bear Bearrific Twin Loft Bed, a practical unit that, thanks to some super-cool supports, offers three key pieces of furniture in one.
The loft is crafted from hardy solid wood, finished in a warm, medium-brown Cocoa shade. Vertical slats support the mattresses you supply, and a super-sturdy, easy-to-use bolt-on rail system and included guard rails ensure kids stay safely on those mattresses once the bed's been set up. The gracefully arched headboard and footboard feature an open, vertical rod design, and a coordinating, included ladder makes climbing into bed a snap.
And then, of course, are the loft's handy, unexpected bases. One features a built-in desk with two dovetailed drawers for art and school supplies. The other base features adjustable wooden shelves on the inside and five dovetailed drawers on the front. An included back panel boasts a cork board for kids' favorite photos and drawings. An optional chair with a contoured seat gives kids a comfy place to rest when working on projects, and all drawers have four optional color panels, easily inserted so kids can personalize the unit.
The lower bed is not included, but you can supply your own twin bed - just slip it in the open space underneath to give two children places to sleep. Choose to get the loft and chair or the loft only.

I got this for my 8 year to create a little more space in her room. We have only had it for a week, but she absolutely loves it. I love the fact that the bookcase and desk are interchangeable. The desk can be installed on either side and also face inside or outside, depending on preference. The bookshelves go all the way through, so they can be accessed from inside or outside no matter which side you install it on.
For the most part, it is just assembling large pieces together. It can be a little tricky if you have to maneuver corners with the large pre-assembled parts. The majority of the fastening is with large bolts into pre-drilled holes but there are almost 50 screws that do not have holes (battery drill/screw driver is handy).
Overall, it is a great look, well-made and easy to assemble.

It took me 2 years to decided to buy my son's bed and now that I got it, I'm very satisfied with the model, the space and the most important the quality of this bed....my son loves it and me too.
