Your child's favorite part, of course, will be the firehouse tent and slide. The firehouse tower encloses a secure ladder and a garage door flap beneath allows play on the interior. Fortunately, of course, the fires themselves will be strictly imaginary. This loft measures 81L x 42W x 51.75H.

We are very happy with this product and would definitely recommend it. Great instructions, hardware was labeled clearly so no chance of using the wrong size bolts, etc.
I washed the fabric in my machine on the handwash cycle in cold water and hung outside to dry before I attached it to the bed. I couldn't find any washing instructions or cautions for washing but all the pieces came out fine. No shrinking or fading. I would not try putting it in the dryer.
You only need a phillips screwdriver and adjustable wrench to put this together. I feel it is sturdy for normal use (no jumping on the bed though).
It came with the wooden slats that you screw into the frame which was a relief to me because I have a bunky board from a past bunk bed and I hate it. The wooden slats are much better support in my opinion.
I enjoyed the hayneedle website and the shipping was no problem. I didn't understand the tracking procedure so I called the number for the shipper and they were very helpful.
All in all, a great shopping experience. Definitely worth the money and my son just loves his firehouse bed. He is 2 1/2 years old so I was a bit nervous but he is careful on it. He can sleep in the underside until he gets a little bigger.

My son loves the space underneath. Calls it his house. He likes climbing up the ladder and the slide has become a race course for his cars. This is the second bed I tried to get him out of his crib and this one he loves.

My son loves his bed as much as I do! Wish I had one of these growing up. It's sturdy & the tent is made very well. It does take approximately 4 hours to put together but that's not unexpected.
