Received these bunk beds on Monday, and had them completely put together in less than 4 hours. The assembly was a breeze, however, I would make a few recommendations.
The instructions say you only need a 7/16 inch nut driver, but I'd also have a drill handy. Especially if you have a hammer drill with a lot of torque and the right size nut driver bit. The hex head screws are long, and the sold wood makes them hard to put in by hand. However, you know they're not coming out on their own! (And putting in the 42 2" screws that come with the slat packs is a lot to do by hand.)
The only other downfall with assembly was the rather unclear instructions for attaching the loft to the bunk. Placement of the metal brackets used to support the loft is hard to tell from the pictures, and it took some thinking/trial and error before we realized we needed to take apart the bunk we'd already built because the brackets needed to be inserted between the bed rails and header/footer in order to hold the loft properly.
But these are minor issues, and all in all, we're very satisfied with the beds. They're going to be great for the kids, and the study hardwood construction should hold up for a long long time.

I'm using the bed for my three boys and it is great for them, they absolutely love it. I love it it fits great in their room but we had to change a few things so we could get the extra loft on the side we wanted wish it would have been interchangable. Had a broken piece so wasn't very happy with the shipping company or packaging and there was missing hardware. The wrong instructions were sent with the bed but we were able to print off a set but it was very hard to read. Over all it is a great bed but it would have been better if it had arrived unbroken and with all the required hardware to put it together.

Comments about Woodcrest Heartland L-Shape Twin Loft Bed with Extra Loft:
I bought this for my girls. They wanted a bunk bed but both wanted to sleep on the top bunk. This way, they both get to sleep on the top and there is an extra bed for when company comes over. Not too hard to put together. I am a single mom and I put the bed together myself. I do recommend using a drill on the 100+ screws.

Comments about Woodcrest Heartland L-Shape Twin Loft Bed with Extra Loft:
I have to say I am very impressed with the quality of the beds. They wood is very good and not cheap. It will with stand wear and tear. I was not missing any parts and nothing was damaged which i was worried about because I read some reviews that were not so good. Yes of course like most reviews said the instructions are not the best if you are not good a putting things together. But for the most part it was pretty easy. I DO RECOMMEND A POWER DRILL! It made it ten times easier and faster. Another thing is you have to make sure where you want it before you build it, its long and hard to move (not heavy)unless you have a big big room for it. Oh and dont get hit in the head with the wood planks lol it hurts bad. Anyways I say it is well worth the money spent, saves space and my kids like it.

I have 3 girls and they are around the same age so I had planed to keep them in the same room but didn't really have a lot of space for them to do everything so I had bought this bunk bed and it's really usefull. They have their own and still have enough space to play.
