The desk may even be installed facing inward or outward to suit your child's preference or any spatial limitations. As if this wasn't enough, three drawers and a rolling toy box are integrated in the steps, effectively making this bed a storage chest as well. You may even opt to add a lower bed in either twin or full to accommodate a sibling or guest. This bed simply can't be beat.

This is a high quality, attractive, and functional bedroom solution. We purchased for our 6 year old son. It doubled the space in his room. We purchased just the loft with stairs and desk. We use the area under the bed as a play area/reading/study nook. I attached curtains with a springform rod underneath to make a "hide-out." He loves it and we couldn't be happier. Assembly did take several hours. The directions got confusing when it came time to put the desk end on, as there are multiple ways of configuring it.
Note that the color of the bed photo on the internet seems a bit lighter than the actual wood. We were so happy because it matches his other furniture perfectly.
We may add some plywood underneath to "finish" the look of the loft (it comes with slats under the mattress, which doesn't look that great when you look up.)
But, overall we are very pleased and would recommend this bed to anyone.
It is massive, though! Be sure to measure your room.

We have been very pleased with this loft bed. It is very well-made; it feels very sturdy. It was not difficult to put together, but it did take quite a bit of time (about 6.5 hours). We assembled it with the desk turned inward. It is too low for an adult to sit there, but it works perfectly for our 9 year old son. I love the storage drawers. We were concerned that the height would be too high for our son to sit up in his bed (the bedroom ceiling is low - 87"), but it is actually perfect, even with a 6" mattress. Hayneedle/Simply Bunk Beds/Pilot Delivery were all great to work with - the item was in our home in about 10 days from the date of order. I would definitely order from this company again. (FYI: Height clearance under the loft bed about 48")

The quality is excellent, very sturdy and the boys love their new loft beds. It took two hours to assemble (one person). They were very well packaged at time of delivery and the freight company was extremely easy to work with--we will be ordering from Hayneedle again! You will not be disappointed with this purchase.
