Just received my bed, and it lacks anything resembling decent instructions. There's one sheet with one of the boxes that shows (sort of) how to assemble part of the bed, but that's it. Hayneedle customer service has been very helpful but they don't have any instructions on hand, as this item is shipped from the manufacturer (not Hayneedle.) The manufacturer doesn't seem to have any instructions either. I'll be assembling this based on the foto only. Not what I had expected.

My husband and I put this bunk bed set together in about 3 hours, but the instructions were confusing because they were for about 9 different types of bunk beds, and there were many additional parts provided that we did not use because they were not for the specific bed we bought. The bed itself is very sturdy, the wood is heavy and strong, and my son loves the built in desk. We couldn't find any parts for attaching the bunk to the desk, so we bolted it on with two four inch bolts drilled straight through the top of the desk. You can't see them and it holds on very well. Both beds are very comfortable and fit well in our small kids bedroom. The kids love their new bunk bed and I'm very pleased with our purchase.

It took 6 weeks to receive my order and when the delivery was scheduled there were items missing. As a result your company re-ordered the entire shipment. Finally the order arrived in another 2 weeks. Upon receipt, I unpacked the items and encountered damaged pieces.
I'm currently waiting on the damaged parts/item to be replaced.
I'm not a HAPPY CAMPER!
On a good note, the sales associate, Janice Good, is doing a great job to resolve the issues.

This is a beautiful product... The product arrived fairly quickly and in perfect condition. I wasn't expecting the chair to be included - bonus! It was easy to put together and is very sturdy - at least enough for my 140 pound son!

Got this for my 13 and 11 year old sons they love it!!! and I do too! Great space saver, excellent for study time. I was very impressed it looks more expensive than I paid for it.But the directions could have been more specific. Took us about 90 mins put it together.

Q1: Can the desk and ladder be mounted on the left side instead of the right, and are the ends able to be switched?
A: Per an email reply on 2-28 from the fulfillment center that ships these, yes, these can be switched around either direction. YRB
