A chest tower on the opposite side holds 4 drawers for additional storage, as it supports the loft bed, and includes a tucked away shelf behind for easy bedside access.
This beautiful wood unit features a twin-size bed on the top, full size lower bed. Perfect for dorm rooms, this compact unit is a real space saver. An independent full-size bed slides beneath the loft bunk. It runs perpendicular to the top bunk, and it has casters for easy portability. The bunk bed arrived with 1 damaged drawer and a mark in the wood where a nail went through the wrong way. Hayneedle gave me a credit and contacted the manufacturing immediately and within 1 week I received a replacement drawer. This is the second time I ordered through hayneedle and I will order through them again.
Btw..... My boys love their new bed.

We initially purchased this bed from Smartchoicefurniture.com and after waiting over 2 mos for the bed to be delivered, we finally got fed up and contacted Simplybunkbeds/Hayneedle to see if they would be willing to match the SCF's price ([$]/free Shipping) and they did! We immediately and happily cancelled the order with SCF and purchased the bed through SBB/Hayneedle. A week and half later, we got a call that the bed was ready to be delivered. After MONTHS of waiting for such a call from SCF, we were OVERJOYED! We received the bed within 2 weeks of ordering it - incredible! My son absolutely LOVES his new bed and is ALWAYS lounging on the top bunk with his toys or watching TV. I love the stairs feature because I'd be too nervous of him using a ladder. All the storage drawers are a huge plus too! Even our dogs climb the stairs and go up to visit him in bed. We put the full bed portion in the attic for the time being so he has ample space underneath to play. The only negative I can say is that the instructions are very poorly written. Thankfully the stairs and storage tower come pre-assembled and my Husband is very handy b/c he finally had to figure out how to assemble the bed on his own after receiving little instructional help at all from the directions. One small change we made (and suggest, for peace of mind purposes with small children) was that we swapped the top bunk safety railing that would've been against the wall with the smaller front railing so that it would provide complete coverage along the front to prevent falling off the top bunk. This small change was super easy and made more sense in our opinion! Otherwise, this was my first Hayneedle shopping experience and it will certainly NOT be the last! :)
Bunkbeds are for my grandsons, they love the stairway.

Bought this for my grandson and for the times that his parents also stay overnight at my house. Love the twin upper for him and the full lower for parents. Kids also love to climb and play and I feel they are much safer with the steps that a regular ladder style.
