I bought two of these beds and found them to have quality solid wood frames. Especially good was the assembly preset bolts and dow recepticles set into the wood. The wrench provided made assembly much easier and resulted in a firmly locked finished bed. Also the slats were webbed together making alignment proper and permanent after screwing them in place. The center brace under the bed added support. This bed was perfect for the extra long mattress we needed to use so either a child or an adult would be comfortable. The height also was a good compromise for this situation. I am very pleased with the finished look they present.

The screws would not fit in the headboard. Since I could not find a longer screw - I had to drill the hole out more so that the screws would fit.
The slats did not have the pre-drilled holes as indicted in the instructions.
I did like the bed, so I made it work but had to have assistance and borrow a drill bit.

I am very happy with this purchase. I put it together by myself for my teenaged son who picked it out. It was missing one screw but was relatively easy to assemble. My son is 15 and 5'10 and he loves the bed. I bought a memory foam x long mattress and it looks great in his room.
