About Atlantic Furniture
Founded in 1983 as Watercraft, Inc., Atlantic Furniture started as a manufacturer of pine waterbed frames. Since then, the Springfield, Mass.-based company has expanded to Fontana, Calif. The company has moved away from the use of pine and now specializes in imported furniture made of the wood of rubber trees.
The Benefits of Eco-Friendly Rubberwood
Prized as an environmentally friendly wood, rubberwood makes use of trees that have been cut down at the end of their latex-producing life cycle. The trees are removed by hand and replaced with new seedlings. In the past, felled rubber trees were either burned on the spot or used as fuel for locomotive engines, brick firing, or latex curing. Now the wood is used in the manufacture of high-end furniture. It is valued for its dense grain, stability, attractive color, and acceptance of different finishes.
Atlantic's Unique Five-Step Finishing Process
Each product in the entire line is finished with a high-build, five-step finishing process. After a thorough sanding, a wipe-on sealer is applied, followed by a tinted sealer to even the grain and color of the wood. Additional sanding prepares the surface for the first base color coat, more sanding, and a second base color coat. After a final sanding, the finish coat is applied. This process produces a beautiful and durable finish that will last for years.

I am always a little concerned about ordering furniture on line but this is good quality bed for the price & easy to assemble. We got a full sized bed with the head and foot board and the under storage drawers. They do not run on tracks, they roll on the floor. Though the bed is made of wood, it does have that "baked" finish on light wood so it is possible that it could get excess wear/tear from a young child. Our daughter is 12 so it will be perfect as she is out of the "toy" and "jumping on the bed" stage.
Our footboard came damaged and so did one of the drawers but Hayneedle took care of it right away and shipped us out new ones.

We love our bed! It's a beautiful piece of furniture. It was easy to assemble, but was certainly easier with two people than had just one of us done it. The drawers are large for lots of storage. I love that the drawers are on casters and not attached to the bedframe.

This is a beautiful bed that was relatively easy to assemble. The directions were definitely lacking, but I was able to figure it out. The materials are all high quality and durable.
My only complaint is that the middle support is not the right height. There are two different heights to pick from (which the instructions don't say) but even with the taller support it doesn't quite reach the ground. Also our bed slides around on our hardwood floors a little and so the supports become crooked easily. I think it should be easily fixed by putting something soft underneath, but it would have been nice not to have to.
Otherwise a great piece of furniture.

Q1: Can you give drawer dimensions 4 drawer and 2 drawer?
A: The four drawer and two drawer both have a depth of 22 inches.
Q2: What is the distance between the floor and the slats that the mattress sits on?
A: The distance is about 11 inches.
