My 20 month old felt confined by his crib, probably because he has a big brother. I am amazed to say that since we got his bed, he loves to sleep in his "big boy boat". It was time-consuming and awkward to position at times to put together, but we had no trouble with it - it came with all the parts and it is good quality for the price. It looks just like the photo when assembled. My six year old likes it too. My toddler loves his little toy box at the end and spends time putting things in and out of it. He never played in his room before we got this bed and now he likes to spend time in his room. We are very happy with it.

This a great bed, my 2 year-old son as soon as he saw the bed he was very excited about it, he started smiling while telling me "Mommy boat" and he couldn't wait to get into it. The bed is compact which is great because it does not take that much space, and it is very safe, it is low to the floor. It also has a little drawer which is awesome to store small toys, blankets,or even your little one shoes which is what I use it for...The only downside is that it took us like 2 hours to assemble, it is not hard to assemble but it will take you a little while. In Overall I think we made a great decision buying this bed and my son is loving it!

My 18mo son loves his new bed! Even with his "help" it didn't take long to put together. The kit comes with nearly all the tools you need although, I used a short phillips for the hinge screws in the toy storage lid.
The hardware is mostly the captured nuts and bolts rather than screws directly into the wood. This will give it longevity so we can pass it on to another lucky toddler once we are done with it.
Simple diagram directions (the universal language) with phone numbers for assistance or parts if needed.
