The spokes on a few wheels is a bit sharp/unfinished. One of the spokes was a little loose that I had to tighten down. Easy assembly!! The over all quality is good and sturdy

While this bed is adorable and evokes a time when items were made with solid products (such as real wood versus particle board) and domestically, there are some trade offs. Namely, there are some sharp edges where you wouldn't expect. The spokes in the wheel are quite sharp and poked me as I was tucking my daughter in. [...] When we tried to assemble the new bed, the wood must have been cut against the grain because it would not hold a screw and kept splintering off. I guess this just means that every bed is individually made and not mass produced but it can be a hit-or-miss situation in terms of the ability to assemble the bed. Overall, the bed is well made and charming. I was contemplating a Little Tikes plastic pink car bed but am glad I opted for a more classic wooden bed that can be handed down. I would recommend this with the above caveats.

I never liked simple toddler beds - I found them boring. This bed gives the excitement that I wanted to achieve from the bed for my daughter and this made it so easy the transition from a co-sleeper to a big girl bed. Very easy to assemble - my husband did it all by himself in less then half an hour with the two yr old "helping out"

I used cordless screwdriver and put bed together in 10 minutes without help. Just 2 step instructions. Very attractive and 18 month old grandbaby giggled out loud she was so excited to get it. Dr Douglas J Freeman
