The Dalton Daybed by Hillsdale, features the unique utility of a drop-leaf side table at both ends for your convenience and comfort, as well as a beautiful medium oak finish that will fit into your home decor. In addition, this daybed boasts a solid square-tapered post, a traditional round finial, a gently arched spindled silhouette, and a diamond cut-out motif. Dimensions with drop-leaf down: 81.5L x 40W x 39H inches. Dimensions with drop-leaf up: 109.375L x 40W x 39H inches. A trundle is an extra mattress frame stored beneath a daybed, which slides out to provide additional sleeping space when needed. Daybeds.com optional trundle packages include a metal, pop-up style trundle. They can be left in the lowered position or elevated in the pop-up position to align with the primary daybed mattress. The pop-up feature allows the daybed to transform from a twin size daybed into a king size bed.

Most of our products are shipped partially assembled. Assembly is easy and requires only common household tools. Furniture will be shipped with all necessary fasteners. Assembly is a matter of minutes with easy to follow instructions. Carefully read the instructions and acquaint yourself with the parts, bolts and screw sizes before starting assembly of your furniture.
Cleaning Tips: Dust frequently using a clean, specially treated dusting cloth that will attract and hold dust particles. Do not use wax or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the finish.

Replaced an old Daybed. This is much nicer. Nice design with flip up side tables for use when guests are visiting. Nice medium color and all wood. Easy assembly. Supportive spring platform. A+ rating.

The quality of the construction of this bed is outstanding and so I was very disappointed when, during the assembly, I found compromises in the connections. The back is held to the sides by embedded anchors that accept a bolt. Someone has gone through a lot of trouble to embed these achors in the back so that the bed still looks good.[...] We needed to put this bed into service and so did not have the time to order yet another back so we ended up gluing the bed together at that one connection. In addition, one of the U brackets that holds the suspension deck together was missing. I ordered a new bracket but received a package of bolts instead. I am still waiting for the bracket to arrive. I would like to recommend this bed to a friend but cannot because of all the problems we have experienced.

We are using this for our spare bedroom that our nieces use during their 2 month stay in the summer. It is perfect because the trundle pushes in to make more space in the room when not in use.

I purchased it as a guest room bed to use when my son and his family come visit. The trundle is perfect for the small room. And the retractable side tables are so convenient. The attractiveness makes it very useful for 'fancy' guests too. The finish and style blends well with the furniture in the rest of my apartment. No squeaking or hard spots in the mattress. Extremely easy for me (58 year old lady) to assemble all by myself. Durable enough for children, and large enough for my 6 foot son to be comfortable in. Also withstands dog naps by my terrier, Lucy. I can't wait to have fancy company to show off!
