The classic sleigh design impresses upon you that it is a special item, a treasure to be passed on from generation to generation. The bowed sides add dimension, style, and elegance. This daybed is made of durable hardwoods and uses a standard twin-size mattress. One free mattress is included. Additional mattress may be purchased with the optional trundle. Included link spring support system is 15 inches from the floor to allow for trundle option or standard under-bed storage. Ships via common carrier.
A light blue quilted polyester cover encloses a combination of convoluted poly-foam and innerspring coils that provide both comfort and support. Fiber pad insulators keep the inner mattress core and outer upholstery layers securely in place. Mattress meets all FR 1633 federal flammability standards. Twin measures 74L x 38W x 6H inches.
A trundle is an extra mattress frame stored beneath a daybed, which slides out to provide additional sleeping space when needed. Daybeds.com optional trundle packages include a metal, pop-up style trundle. They can be left in the lowered position or elevated in the pop-up position to align with the primary daybed mattress. The pop-up feature allows the daybed to transform from a twin size daybed into a king size bed.
Creating a king size bed out of a daybed and a pop-up trundle is easy, and with the Create-A-King mattress connector, it will be so comfortable you'll never know it comprises two twin mattresses. The Create-A-King mattress connector is available for purchase in the shopping cart.

Overall, happy with our Daybed
The bed is in our guest room/sons room and is an attractive piece of furniture. Our son finds the bed very comfortable. My only disappointment is, the wood pieces are not solid.

This bed was purchased for my daughter who is very pleased with it. She couldn't wait to sleep in it and the next day she insisted she was tired and wanted to leave dinner early so she can be home to sleep in her new bed.
The daybed and trundle came with mattresses that is a little light for my liking so I replaced it with a fuller and better quality mattress. I did keep one for the trundle which rolls out and pops up with ease.
The bed looks cozy and beautiful and the finishing superb. Quite surprising as it was made in China.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Love the bed. It's beautiful. Had a small finishing defect [...]. I wish I had ordered a better mattress. After placing a pillow top on it, it was way better and much more comfortable. Looks great in my guest room and now I have room for more with the trundle bed.

My fiance and I set up this daybed and after getting used to the instructions, it wasn't very hard. We had it up in less than one hour and I couldn't have been more pleased with how it turned out! I was apprehensive about the "free" mattress at first, but it was quite comfortable. Although, I would suggest a padded mattress cover for extra comfort. Great product and I loved the fact that it was solid wood (but not very heavy), instead of composite board.

This daybed works perfectly in my guest room/office. With a few pillows and a plain colored daybed cover, it makes the room more usable when no guests are present for reading, watching TV or chatting on the phone. Works very well in my condo since it doesn't take up a lot of space. It is a nice looking piece of furniture.
