Made of solid oak, the front legs measure 2.25 in. square. Clearance underneath the bed is 14-16 inches, depending on the alignment holes used. The clearance is large enough to store the optional trundle underneath. The recommended weight for either the link spring or optional trundle is 200-250 pounds. Some assembly required. A trundle is an extra mattress frame stored beneath a daybed, which slides out to provide additional sleeping space when needed. The pop-up feature allows the daybed to transform from a twin size daybed into a king size bed.
