Made of heavy-gauge iron meticulously welded together by exacting craftsmen, decoratively cast by hand-pouring technique. The daybed is then baked at extremely high temperatures in specialty ovens to produce a PowerBond finish - rich and superbly durable. It also has a limited lifetime warranty.
The Saratoga Daybed comes with a slatted steel frame to put the mattress on. No link spring required. Some assembly is required. Finish shown is matte white. Ships via common carrier, curbside delivery.
A trundle is an extra mattress frame stored beneath a daybed, which slides out to provide additional sleeping space when needed. Daybeds.com optional trundle packages include a metal, pop-up style trundle. They can be left in the lowered position or elevated in the pop-up position to align with the primary daybed mattress. The pop-up feature allows the daybed to transform from a twin size daybed into a king size bed.
Creating a king size bed out of a daybed and a pop-up trundle is easy, and with the Create-A-King mattress connector, it will be so comfortable you'll never know it comprises two twin mattresses. The Create-A-King isn't necessary for the tranformation, but is an excellent way to cover the seam between the two twin mattresses.
