After a bit of difficulty putting it together, this bookcase is now set on top of another set of bookcases I already had. The finish isn't perfect but it serves my display and storage needs well. All the parts were there and the pictorial instructions were clear. I had to modify the order of assembly near the end. It would be easier to have a second person help with the final stages. Assembly uses eight long metal screws with an included Allen wrench to tighten them, and a lot of wood pegs/dowels. It is very sturdy once fully assembled. My biggest problem was removing a long sticky label on a shelf divider. Had to resort to Glue-Gone. Overall I am very satisfied with the sturdiness and the look.

I bought this bookcase for my granddaughter's playroom. It's an excellent addition as it serves to hold books as well as toys. The bookcase is substantial and well made. My husband and I put it together in half an hour. I highly recommend this item.

The bookcase is very well built and was easy to put together, but not using the manufacturer's directions which were way off. It was also smaller than I thought it would be, but I guess I went by how it looks and not the measurements given. The shelves are not too high, and some of the books had to be laid down. Also, I do not know how it is adjustable at all.
