I love that the shelf is big enough to hold plenty but not a huge to the ceiling book case. It fit perfectly in my bedroom as some extra storage for books and things.
I would have given 5 stars but one corner of the shelf unit would not fit together perfectly - I have a gap.

I bought this bookcase for my 5-year old boy's room. He has alot of books that I wanted to display. This item did the job and actually have more space to fill in more books. However, it was not sturdy enough even if you fill it in with books. Wasn't made durable for the height of the bookcase. That's why the manufacturer included a safety latch for the wall. Also, my husband had a difficult time installing the shelves with the screws it came in but we finally got it done, it just took a while. If you are looking for the price and look, this item is good. But, durability wise, no!

This is a very simple but nice looking bookcase. I wish you could adjust the shelves but it fits perfectly where we needed it so we are going to make it work.

I ordered this because the size was perfect. Not too big not too small - and not at all babyish for my 11-year old. When it cam in the mail (it arrived promptly 2 days after I purchased it), the box and 1 long side of the book case were shattered (like someone punched a hole in the wall). I was so disappointed and called kidkraft the next morning. They got the part number and sent a new part out the next day. I should have it tomorrow. Although we had this minor issue, they handled it really nicely. I think we'll be thrilled with the product when the fixed part arrives.

For the price i thought the pieces would have fit better. Not the best thing I have seen. Prefab loose fit but ok for what it is.

The product arrived earlier than expected. The wood material is good quality. It's a nice small shelf to put my children's books and toys. I have purchased so many products at Hayneedle, and the service and quality has been great.
