I was surprised at how small the bookshelf was- I suppose I didn't pay attention to the measurements. It just doesn't come close to holding what a bookshelf does, so I only have this piece of furniture to basically hold library books. It is nice that my son can easily grab a book now, but I wish it would hold more.
