REALLY need to fix those drawers! Put them on rollers and charge another $15. Our granddaugher is five and she LOVES it, except she canNOT open and close the drawers by herself. There have been enough comments on this, so fix it already. Also, I'm glad my husband is a real handyman because the instructions are not only lacking, but the diagram is incorrect. Other than that, GREAT!

My daugther doesn't know it was supposed to be a roll-top desk, so she loves it. She doesn't question the "track" mark inside the desk. My husband and I were disappointed but decided to keep it because we put it together xmas eve and didn't want to send it back with no time to find a replacement. [...]

Q1: Can the handles be removed to be painted?
A: Yes, with a little work you can remove the inside front board which is held on by 4 screws and small pin nails. Once that is removed, the handle is held on by 2 screws which can be removed for painting. Please note the natural light oak color option has been stained, so there will be some additional sanding required.
Q2: What is the distance between the seat of the chair and the bottom of the lap drawer?
A: The distance from the seat and the desk is almost 6 inches.
Q3: What is the height of the work area?
A: The height of the work area is 26.5 inches.
