I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this piece of furniture. It is solid and the finish is nice. The white is not as crisp as the white wood work throughout our house but I wouldn't call it cream either. We are using it as a dresser for our daughter. I was worried about the amount of storage but it holds more than I thought it would. My father in law and I assembled this together in a little over an hour, it's definately a job for two people.

We are assembling this chest and so far, have found the following problems: the upright middle piece has a semi-circular chip that will show (and no touch-up paint provided!); one of the cross pieces used wood that should have been consigned to the scrap pile because it has gouges (giant wood worms at work?); we are missing one of the wood screws (nine were supposed to be provided and we received eight); one of the drawer faces has a gouge that will show (again, no touch up paint); and another drawer face has a scratch that was painted over. Based on the above I wouldn't rate it higher than 2 stars.

I've now purchased all of the Casey collection pieces in one form or another. The casey daybed has been the perfect little girl's bed. Now that she's getting older it's proving to be a wonderful investment. The only changes required were in the comforters. The challenge has been finding items that represent the same value as the daybed, while still looking like investment pieces. When I saw these, I decided to give it a shot. So glad that I did. The drawers are really deep and easy to use. And I love the storage. It's listed as a media chest because it has room for cable boxes and other stuff. But as someone who doesn't allow our daughter to have TV in her room, I can tell you that the lower shelves are really handy and allow you to keep the top shelf clean for essentials. But I have to tell you, this would have made the perfect changing table. Anyway, the quality for this price is amazing. Best buy since the purchase of my Casey (my previous best purchase). I highly recommend.
