I put it together myself. I did not have any trouble. It is even cuter than the picture and my ten month old daughter loves to play on the closed lid. It holds a great deal as well. We love it!!

I had problems with many of the screws. The heads broke off and the shaft stayed in the wood. [...] the new parts have been sent. Overall I am happy with the product.

Would have been easy to assemble, but we found we needed to replace the screws for lid/piston attachment. The screws provided were easily stripped out....really cheap screws. The pictures on the toy box are precious for a little girls room! Just begin with your own screws.

This toybox is sturdy and beautiful. We were able to assemble it until it came time to put the hinges on. Then screws started breaking off all over the place. Eventually my husband had to drill additional holes, use better screws and make it work. Overall it took us over 3 days to get it assembled due to the hinges.
