Toy Box
Our handcrafted toy chest features an approved safety lid support that prevents the top from ever falling. The front panel has an additional finger safety cutout and hand holds are cut into the sides. This toy chest is built the old fashioned way using solid wood, screws and glue to create an heirloom quality piece that can be handed down from one generation to the next. Available unfinished, or in a variety of neutral or painted finishes. Your personalization will be placed on the front panel, the font size is 1.5 inches with an 11 character limit in a Cooper font. Each name is cut from vinyl. This sits flat on the toy box.
Little Colorado is a Green Company
All finishes are water-based, low-VOC made by Sherwin Williams and other American manufacturers. Wood raw materials come from environmentally responsible suppliers. MDF used is manufactured by Plum Creek, and is certified green, CARB-compliant, and low-formaldehyde. All packing insulation is 100% post-consumer recycled. All shipping cartons are either 100% post-consumer recycled or are made of recycled cardboard.

This box has continued to disappoint us. It was supposed to be a nice piece of furniture our children could enjoy for a long time. Prior to even putting toys in it a long visable crack showed where the wood had separated. The wood is soft and not durable in the least. It is not a good choice for a toy box that will be used for toys or play. Maybe just blankets.

We ordered the powder blue toy box, it looks better then it does on the website. It came assembled, is large enough, its solid wood and looks great in my son's room. The lid can't slam down on my kids fingers and my son couldn't wait to fill it up with his toys.

Bought these two tears ago for grandson and granddaughter. Very well made; these chests will last the grandchildren for the rest of their lives. So good I have ordered and received two more for our new grandaughter and grandson. I plan on ordering agin for our new grandbaby due in July '13.

I bought for my child to use as a toy chest, I called customer service before ordering to ask if the "personalization" was a decal or was it engraved. The Rep stated "it looks engraved not a decal" so I paid the extra for the personalization only to find out after delivery it is a Decal and definately not worth the extra expense paid to have it personalized for my son. Other than that it is well constructed and assembled for the price.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was a hassle, I blame this on the customer service not informing me that there was a delay in shipping using "standard shipping" as I needed it by XMAS. I found out when I called to check on the delivery since I had not received a confirmation. If I would have been informed I would have paid the extra to have it expedited. When asked if I could pay the extra I was told NO because it had been orderd, but was still in the warehouse. So I asked if it is still in the warehouse why can't I change the delivery method? Customer Rep just repeated that it couldn't be done, when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told they couldn't do anything for me, I asked again and was told NO. So I asked if I can change the delivery address since it was still in the warehouse, and was told I could so I asked again why if I can change the address I cannot change the delivery method. Told again they couldn't, no other reason? So I gave the new delivery address, and confirmed before hanging up that it would go to the new address. When I got confirmation it shipped I checked and it was still delivered to the old address. So I call again to complain and this time I was given a Supervisor when I asked, who did appologize and gave me a fed ex label to send to the correct address, Which only prolonged delivery.

wish there was some touch up paint included with item. there was one spot that was right on the top that needed a little paint.
