We recommend placing the base drawers side-by-side on the floor since they are nearly twice as deep as the other storage units. They provide a great, solid base to this large storage unit and offer a bench for children to sit on or a surface for drawing. We then recommend placing a storage unit on top of each drawer, and the third storage unit on top of one or both of those. This is our recommendation, but since they are the same size, you can configure these units any way you choose. The 2-door cabinet features chalkboard or corkboard door panels and the cubbie features a fixed shelf and center divider so that each one is divided into four spaces. Have fun with it and rearrange until you find the solution that works best for you.
