Very good product. Good design, sturdy, and stylish. Only rated a 4 star due to instructions for assembly, which were in small faint print and pictures.

I shopped for a long time before ordering this. As someone else said, the directions were not good.. and the wrong screws were included, and we had to drill more holes to put it together. If you take off the Paint Holder on the side and the two brackets right above the baskets and take them off you can fold this. I would advise anyone to put this together when it arrives to be sure you have all the pieces. The finish is very nice and it is very sturdy. Purchasing it for three little girls and I'm sure they will love it and it will serve them for many years.

Ok, so this may be a more expensive kids easel than others out on the market, but I know this is sure to last in my sister's household for a long long time. I bought this for my niece for her 5th birthday and had my husband help put it together - I was very impressed with the quality and classic finish it had. I already knew that it was not a foldable easel to quickly store away and had already asked my sisters permission if that would be okay. She hesitantly said that would be fine, but already assuming that I was going to buy one of those ugly plastic or metal looking easels that she would have to move out of sight if company came over. However, when she saw this she couldn't believe how beautiful it was and said she couldn't wait to display it in her kitchen for my niece to use whenever she wants. My niece couldn't wait to start painting and once she did this kept her occupied for over an hour! The one thing I really like about this easel is that it has multiple uses, chalkboard, which doubles as a magnetic board, dry-erase board, and then paint on the pull down paper. As for putting this together, I would definitely recommend having a drill - there are a lot of screws. I also recommend you lining up all the pieces in order that it states on the instructions - this helped move things along quickly and we had it put together in about 30 minutes. Again, please note, this does not fold up for easy storage. Also, you may want to check for the Melissa & Doug art supply box that has everything your child needs to start becoming a creative genius.
