We heard all the concerns about battery operated toys--that they wouldn't last, that the child would get bored with it, etc. However, this truck has been involved with every warm day that we've had and our four-year-old will now be upgrading to a bigger vehicle this Christmas (not because it broke, but because he's getting to big for it)! The F-150 was easy to assemble and just made hours of fun for our child. He received it as a gift for his second birthday and obviously was a bit young for it then. But once he caught on, look out! The battery when it got older had problems propelling him through grassy/hilly areas, but on pavement was great. Vehicle never had any problems at all. I highly recommend this for a three year old. You'll get your use out of it!

2 year old had trouble figuring out reverse but is easily manuervable and child likes it, now he's 4 and we're looking for a faster vehicle.

Our 3 yr pld son uses it to ride in the backyard of his grandparent's numerous acres of land, he LOVES it!!!!!
