Comments about Replogle Constellation 12-inch Diam. Tabletop Globe:
I bought this globe to help me in charting astronomical connections to various ancient archeological sites where buildings appear to be astronomically oriented. Unfortunately, since I can't see the Earth through the globe, this is proving to be very difficult. However, there is still much great information that can be gleaned through this globe, and I really love the concept. But then there is the terrible tragedy caused by the fact that the base of the globe is flimsy plastic and the globe doesnot rotate easily. As a result, it slipped off the table I had it on the other day when I was trying to turn it, and the base promptly broke along with the light bulb, and it only fell a few feet onto a plush carpet. So much for that. I wasted [$] on this piece of garbage, and you might want to consider spending more for a better version of this globe if you can find it. If I had the money, I certainly would do so.

Comments about Replogle Constellation 12-inch Diam. Tabletop Globe:
THis globe is quite attractive and fills the room with a soft warm glow when illuminated.
On the down side, the unit could rotate more smoothly and the cord could be tucked away a bit more strategically

Comments about Replogle Constellation 12-inch Diam. Tabletop Globe:
This has been a great globe to help me learn the constellations. Construction is light but durable and it looks excellent in the dark when lit up. There is a slight dark band around the equator where the two halfs of the globe come together, but it doesn't really detract from the overall look. About the only downside is that it takes both hands to rotate smoothly. Due to the lightweight design and friction along the bearings so it stays in place where you last rotated it, it's difficult to spin it with one hand without pushing it over. Other than that, no complaints.

Comments about Replogle Constellation 12-inch Diam. Tabletop Globe:
A great buy. Slightly wobbly. I would pay the additional cost for a more substantial/heavier base. Globe itself is well constructed.
