No batteries, wholesome, educational, and makes learning fun without electronics. My grandson and great-nephew both love it! Can't think of a better gift for kids around 3 and up, both boys and girls. Would suggest a bigger globe with more details for older kids.

Great idea to have a globe safe for small children and multifunctional. My 4 year old throws it like a ball and looks at it in bed learning about the world. My one year old runs toward it and I don't have to worry about her being hurt by hard sharp objects.

A gift for my 2 year old granddaughter. Her Mommy ad Daddy are taking her on vacation and wanted to point out locations. She is very receptive and intelligent...so it interests her greatly. Also, she does hug it and throw it!

Gave the globe as a gift,to a 5 year old who requested a globe. Once the gifts were opened the other gifts were brushed aside and the birthday boy and a friend began to toss the globe. As an educator I know if a child finds the object engaging they will use it.
