My husband and I gave this gift to our two year old grandaughter Carly for Chanukah. She was so amazed by the kitchen and how realistic it looked that she just stood and stared at it for at least 30 seconds. But then she got out her play pots, pans and utensils and started cooking, washing dishes, opening the refrigerator, stove and microwave and generally having a terrific time. I purchased the product over the Internet so I was a bit concerned about how this purchase would actually turn out, but I am totally thrilled with the assembled product. It is attractive, sturdy and justs looks like a real kitchen. I know that Carly and her friends will spend many happy hours playing with her kitchen.
And my husband the handyman was able to put the kitchen together without too much difficulty in 4 hours (9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. the next morning so maybe other assemblers would prefer starting earlier in the day!). He commented that the instructions and diagrams were clear and that the color coding of the bolts was very helpful. He had just one correction to the instructions under Step 15 -- the part labeled part #9 in the diagram should be part #8.

This kitchen set is beyond darling. My husband and his brother put it together the night before my daughter's 3rd birthday. It took them about 1 1/2 hours and they are super handy/construction guys who knew what they were doing. My daughter is thrilled! Everyone that sees it raves and thinks it's the cutest kitchen set they've ever seen. And they are right. We love it. The design, the construction of it is perfect. So glad it's not cheap plastic, but wood. The colors are precious and all the features from the knobs to the gooseneck sink are to-die-for cute. We love it.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Play kitchen for my 3 year old's birthday. Her friends have this kitchen and she loves it. We hope she loves it when it is hers! Tough to assemble but worth it!

It is a lot of work to put together and the doors are a little hard to open for young kids. But we are very happy to have the new kichen its better then mine.
