We gave this to our daughter who is two years old. She couldn't wait for us to get it out of the box and assemble it on Christmas morning. Well made utensils and a great look overall. I highly recommend this well crafted kitchen. There isnt a day that goes by that she doesn't play with it!

My 21 month old son loves his kitchen, mostly taking things out of the cabinet (or removing the sink) and depositing them all over the house. We also got a bunch of velcroed wooden fruit that he loves to cut apart with a play knife. On the floor, because there's no counter space. I'd love it if this had the towel bar on the side, but I still have the old toilet paper holder from when I remodeled my bathroom and will be installing that on the side tomorrow. Plus some hooks on the other side. I wish there was more storage, but we have the matching fridge on the way, which should help. Another thing worth noting: From the orientation of the handle, unless you look closely at the picture and note the hinge location, you might think the oven opens like a regular oven. It does not.
Finally, one of the screws holding the dish rack to the backboard would not engage. It doesn't seem to want to come out, though, and the other 2 are very secure, so I'm not too bothered. But I expected better from HaPe. Still, I feel very good about this purchase, as it was comparable in cost to the play kitchens out there that are made from toxic materials, and I know HaPe will not poison my child.
Oh, the food that comes with: bread, pizza, fried egg, toast, and cheese, if I remember correctly. I may be wrong about the cheese.
And it took less than half an hour for me to put together, working alone. The thing that took the longest was unwrapping all the parts. The instructions are very clear and the only tool required is included.

I researched a bunch of kitchens for our sons for Christmas (2012) and finally decided on this one. It gets great reviews and is priced right. It comes with a ton of play food, plates, 2 pots, salt and pepper shaker, etc. Really a great price for all you get especially given the quality of the construction and design. My husband said putting it together was a snap (he usually complains about this sort of thing). And it seems really well thought out. The stove and cupboard both have a shelf for extra storage. It fits the cutting board and pots well which I read was a problem with other brands. I also like that the stove door opens to the side and not down so it cannot be used for standing another problem with other brands. The colors and look is great - very gender neutral so it works for boys and girls. Our boys love to pretend to make dinner for me. GREAT KITCHEN!
