The hose is very pretty, but the sounds did not work on one of the ears and only sometimes out of the other one. Also the trigger in the ears to make the sounds work is way difficult to find in the way that it's placed, especially for a toddler.
However, Hayneedle gave me a super fast refund when I declined a replacement. They were very helpful and fast in their response. Love the company, disappointed in the horse

My son loves the horse and it works well. So I do not regret my purchase.
However, several reviews talk of problems with bolts and the hair. They are right.
One bolt was missing at delivery.
I thought the hair would come off only if the kid was pulling on it. Not really! Just the mere fact of touching it and the kid had some on his cloth.
One more detail. there is a whole in the structure under the skin (on the butt).
All this does not change the fun my son is having but it does change my trust in this brand.

Worth every penny, I did the research for weeks! It is a little more light weight than what I thought it would be, yet very sturdy!Easy to put together- 5 min. My three year old wears 4 and 5T clothes and is tall for his age.
TRUE to color, horse is as cute as he can be. His mouth and tail move in time to the clip, clop, which is rather loud. No batteries included! He moves so real my son tried to feed him crackers when his mouth moved.
My child has taking a liking to horses, of all things. When he saw this horse he SCREAMED, jumped on it and said, YEE--HAA! He has not stopped rocking since.

Our 2 year old was rocking on his undersized and poorly balanced rocking horse a few weeks before Christmas. He's normally not very communicative, but when I asked if he wanted a bigger horse, he said "yes" and nodded his head more emphatically than I've ever seen.
I bought him this horse for Yule, and he was delighted! He spent almost the whole day on the horse, ignoring his other presents, except when his 4 year old sister convinced him to give her a turn.
The stirrups are a good length for him, as when seated his feet don't quite reach the ground or the rockers, just like a real horse. This rocking horse is perfect for any child between the ages of 2 and 4, and can probably continue to be used for a year or two after that.

The nuts to hold the horse to the rockers were missing.
I was able to find some that worked. Other than missing parts, the product worked as expected.

Q1: How do you change the batteries?
A: On the belly under the saddle is a velcro pouch. Open the velcro and remove the battery case. Finally, unscrew the cover and replace with 3 AA batteries.
