Horse, Brush, Feeding carrot
3 AA Batteries
Doesn't every kid ask for a pony at some point? When that day comes, save yourself some money by getting the Radio Flyer Blaze Interactive Rocking Horse - 381 instead. This incredibly life-like horse, complete with rope lasso and red tack, is a great stand-in for the real thing and may put a stop to the pleading ... for a little while at least. Your little cowboy or cowgirl will delight in the electronic sounds triggered by the riding action; different sounds for the three stages of riding- walk, trot, and gallop- spur your child's enthusiasm. Your child can even care for the horse after their exercise session with the included brush and feeding carrot.
Built-in safety straps cover the springs to prevent pinched fingers, and the innovative X-frame base features an integrated step for easy mounting and dismounting. The stirrups are grooved for better traction. This riding horse may not be a living, breathing equine, but it's safer, cheaper, and smells much better.

The product looks great once it's assembled, but getting to that point was pure torture. The time required for 2 college-educated adults to put this horse together was FOUR (4) HOURS! The metal components fit together well, but the plastic components are poorly crafted, and several of them did not fit together correctly. In addition to mis-aligned components, the hardware included was not appropriate: 1 screw that attached the horse to the spring suspension assembly was 1/4" too short. This required a trip to the hardware store for the correctly sized screw. When trying to attach the head to the body, the long screws would not fit because a couple of the connectors on the body were out of alignment. Pushing the screws through caused one of the plastic insert in the body to pop out; it couldn't be reinserted. Once the horse was assembled, we discovered one of the nylon straps had a small hole and a tear. We will have to contact the manufacturer to obtain a new strap. In addition to all of the above, the location of the battery compartment (for the sound effects....which are pretty neat, I must say) makes no sense at all. It's located under the horse's chin, and requires a very short screwdriver to open. Very difficult to open. The instructions, although comprised totally of graphics with no written content, were pretty easy to follow.
