Incredibly stylish and so much fun! The Badger Basket 5 x 5-ft. Cedar Cabana Sandbox is a handsome sandbox crafted from durable, solid cedar wood. Featuring a full canopy and four mesh side shades, this sandbox is equipped to protect your children from too much sun exposure and your sand from visiting animals.
This attractive cabana-style sandbox will look great with your patio furniture. The sandbox features 4-inch seating decks on all sides, which eliminates fighting over corner seats! The forest green canopy has wavy flaps and a wooden finial, which adds a traditional accent. The four independent nylon mesh side shades can be easily rolled up and secured with ties at the top. Open up one or more at a time as your children play. Keep the four sides shut when playtime is over by clipping the sides securely at the bottom to prevent animals, wind, and debris from getting into the sandbox. The nylon mesh allows water to leak through to prevent pooling and damage on top of the cover.
This sandbox is constructed with zinc-plated, rust-resistant steel hardware. The sand play area measures 56L x 56W x 7.75H inches. The maximum quantity of sand if filling the full 7.75-inch depth is approximately 14 cubic feet or 0.5 cubic yards, which is about 1200 pounds of sand. You can adjust sand volume, depth, and quantity to suit your preference. Sand is not included. Adult assembly required. Illustrated assembly instructions included.

Wood sandboxes with a clear or stained finish should be re-treated every year or two to retain their smooth, protected exterior. We recommend a water-based finish, which is less toxic than an oil-based finish. Re-treating your wood sandbox will keep it smooth and conditioned. You can find wood finishes and sealers at your local hardware store.

I was very disappointed when I opened the box. The wood is very thin [...]The height of the sandbox was very low and there is no way it holds close to a ton of sand without digging down into the ground. I think with a good enough wind, the whole thing would blow over. Way overpriced for such a low quality item. Sending this back!
Love it! Bought for my 3 year old granddaughter. Perfect size for her. Cover and sides are great for keeping out leaves, trash and animals. Simple to assemble. Would definitely recommend if being used by two children. Kept her entertained for hours.

Q1: Does this sandbox has a bottom??
A: Bottoms are typically not included with sandboxes as they can trap rain and water. We recommend using landscape fabric as a bottom liner. Landscape fabric allows water to drain as well as keeps grass and weeds from growing up through the sand. Landscape fabric can be found at all major hardware stores and garden centers.
