Our products are shipped partially assembled. Assembly is easy and requires only common household tools. Furniture will be shipped with all necessary fasteners and easy-to-follow instructions. Carefully read the instructions and acquaint yourself with the wood parts, bolts and screw sizes before starting assembly of your furniture.
Wood sandboxes with a clear or stained finish should be re-treated every year or two to retain their smooth, protected exterior. We recommend a water-based finish, which is less toxic than an oil-based finish. Re-treating your wood sandbox will keep it smooth and conditioned. You can find wood finishes and sealers at your local hardware store.

While this is an attractive sandbox, and the kids love to play imagination with the pirate theme, it is poorly constructed. We have had ours two years now, however, the wood is rotting and it is falling apart. Certainly not the quality we expected with the price. Disappointing!

DO NOT buy unless you plan to keep it indoors. Day 1: fully constructed. Day 1: Rain. Day 2: A warped mess. Poorly constructed. Not weather resistant.

This was not easy to assemble nor was it safe for a toddler. There were too many rough edges. No cover and no bottom are definitely negatives. The IDEA is cute.....

This is a great sandbox and my kids, 4 and 7 months have a great time playing in it. It's made of real wood and very sturdy, and I would deffinitely buy it again, but there are a couple of things to be aware of before purchasing. First off, there is not a bottom to this sanbox, just a piece of landscaping plastic to hold in the sand. We easily fixed this by attaching a piece of plywood, and now it has a sturdy bottom. The other downfall is that it does not have a solid cover for the sand. If you live in a rainy climate, you might want to invest in a tarp. Overall I still thinks it's a good purchase and worth every penny, just beware you may have to do a little extra work to make it better.

This sand box its lots of fun and very durable. We have baught other KidKraft items in the past and been very happy with the quality. The p[irate theme fits perfect with our little 4 year olds imagination.
