Perfectly sized for compact backyards, the Tierra-Derco Small Covered Wooden Sandbox will make an exciting spot for your children to dig in and have fun. This sandbox is constructed with water-treated pine wood that's safe for both kids and pets. The vinyl roof will protect your kids from the sun and your sand from the rain. Use the simple crank mechanism to lower the roof all the way down to cover the sand and protect it from neighborhood cats when not in use. Crank it back up when playtime arrives again. Red, blue, green, and yellow corners accent the beautiful wood construction, adding a touch of fun to the design.
This attractive wooden sandbox carries a one-year manufacturer's warranty. It can hold 200-400 pounds of sand. Sand is not included, but a lot of happy certainly is.

I bought it for my one year old and it's a perfect fit. Has a little seat and a cover. Light enough for me to assemble, but had a wrong screw included. Easy fix. I also stapled a tarp to the bottom so I could put place it on my deck without loss of sand

Q1: Does this include a bottom on the sand box to separate the ground from the sand?
A: Bottoms are typically not included with sandboxes as they can trap rain and water. We recommend using landscape fabric as a bottom liner. Landscape fabric allows water to drain as well as keeps grass and weeds from growing up through the sand. Landscape fabric can be found at all major hardware stores and garden centers.
