The solid Baltic birch Handcrafted Play Table will support 300 pounds and will fit the play surfaces for train sets and others. Easy assembly with metal to metal connector bolts. Available in natural lacquer and unfinished, ready for stain or paint.

MDF used is manufactured by Plum Creek, and is certified green, CARB-compliant, and low-formaldehyde. All packing insulation is 100% post-consumer recycled. All shipping cartons are either 100% post-consumer recycled or are made of recycled cardboard.

We bought this to use for a train table for our toddler. It works great the surface is smooth and fits the decor of our home. Since it's in the living room that's an important feature for us. Can also be reused for something different later on if and when he outgrows trains.

I spent hours looking over train tables and activity tables for my 2-year old son. I wanted something simple, durable, and "plain" (that is, no pre-printed pictures or wild colors). I also required no sharp corners. This table was fairly easy to assemble alone (I am sure it would have been a breeze if I had an assistant other than my son!). It is stong--no wobbling, the perfect height for him, and him was immediately more excited about playing with his train set than he has ever been when it was set up on the floor). The shipment arrived promptly and every was in perfect condition (great protective packaging). Thanks!

Just got this a few days ago and love this table. My 1 and 2 yr old can play on this endlessly. We use it for trains, car garages, dolls etc. It is the perfect height and seems very sturdy. Also I have to comment on how great Hayneedle's customer service is. They really want the customer to be satisfied. Would purchase again in a heartbeat!!
