To install the seat and back on your directors chair frame, please open up your chair frame approximately half way, so to allow the fabric to fit loosely onto the frame and then open up the chair once all fabric portions are applied. Bought this chair in Royal blue and walnut for our first grandson in 2006. He has used the chair alot and it is still in great shape. Now looking to purchase one for grandson #2.

Overall, I hesitated between rating these chairs a 3 or a 4. I purchased them for a recreation table at my 4 year-olds pre-school, and for this purpose I think they are a good deal for the price -- reasonably well made, stable and comfortable for kids that age/size. I am a little disappointed by the quality of the finish on the wood surfaces however -- it's uneven to say the least and looks like it was applied with a broom.

Love the chairs. I embroider the backs of them with a name and or design. I wish they came in more colors...maybe something a bit more for girls!
