This chair is built using swelled joint construction, a technique borrowed from Shaker design that uses NO GLUE. Thanks to the chair's interlocking construction, the notched dowels make it very sturdy and nearly impossible to be pulled apart. This chair is designed to offer you a lifetime of enjoyment. Ships partially assembled.

Yearly maintenance of your rocking chair will help keep its finish looking new. Whether outdoor or indoor, keep your rocking chair cleaned and polished with a high quality furniture polish to extend the life of the finish. Should your rocking chair get wet, please be sure to dry it as soon as possible. If used outdoors, the finish on a wood product will eventually begin to deteriorate. To restore its beauty, we recommend a light hand sanding and cleaning followed by application of a quality finish material as directed by your local paint store.

Got four of these chairs for my grandchildren (ages 20 months to 5 years). At first blush they seem to be well built and nicely finished. The proof of course will be how they hold up to every day use by children.

The only thing I wish I could change is to add more lines of text. I had bought a chair almost exactly like this one but you could put the name for the child and love grandma. The only thing it cost over twice as much. I believe people would purchase more of these chairs if you could add lines of text.

The big smile on our granddaughters face conveyed it all. She loves the rocker - it's just her size for her to climb in and out for a place to call her own. Great craftmanship - handmade and wood looks and feels great. Rocker larger than picture conveys but it will last lifetimes and become something that can carry on through the family for years to come.
