This item is sturdy and the color was nice for a child. The assembly was difficult. Holes did not line up properly and a drill was used to get them to line up. I would have returned this item, but it was for an angel gift for a needy child and had to be turned in within 3 days so there was not time to return and receive another. And who knows if the replacement would have been any better. Thanks to my husband and our neighbor who worked on this chair for a couple of hours to make the chair work so that this child would have the chair under the tree from Santa.

Many, many years ago my mother bought my sister and I a rocking chair (just like this) for Christmas. I had my chair well into my 30's and then lost it in a move. I wanted to purchase one similar for my 2 granddaughters 1 and 3. Thank Heaven for Hayneedle because they had these (very similar). My 3 year old granddaughter loves hers and uses it all the time. We bought this so our grandson would have his own chair when he visits. It is just his size and doesn't take too much room to store between visits. It arrived right on time and was easy to assemble.
