One rocking chair
For growing youngsters between the ages of 7 and 10, this oak chair is a durable and attractive piece for their bedroom or rec room. The Jack and Jill Rocker, with a Natural finish, is made without arms to fit growing kids, as well as let them get in and out easily. Featuring a classic ladder back design and a contoured seat, this charming rocking chair will be a favorite place to read or relax. The swelled joint construction uses NO GLUE or harsh chemicals, and the joints actually fit tighter over time. The notched dowels make them nearly impossible to remove. Your child will grow to want to save this for their children.
Manufacturer Care Instructions:
Yearly maintenance of your rocking chair will help keep its finish looking new. Whether outdoor or indoor, keep your rocking chair cleaned and polished with a high quality furniture polish to extend the life of the finish. Should your rocking chair get wet, please be sure to dry it as soon as possible. If used outdoors, the finish on a wood product will eventually begin to deteriorate. To restore its beauty, we recommend a light hand sanding and cleaning followed by application of a quality finish material as directed by your local paint store.

Comments about Troutman The Jack and Jill Child's Rocker:
This rocking chair with no arms is smaller than most modern rockers. However, it's extremely comfortable for a guitar player who is sized up to about 6 feet tall and about 260 pounds, in my personal experience. It has excellent back support, and your feet can balance solidly on the floor. This rocking chair is also called an Aunt Annie's Rocker #7, and it has been made by the Troutman Chair Co. since about 1924. Troutman doesn't sell online, which means you won't find a better price anywhere on the internet than the price you are looking at here, as of June 2012. Very simple to assemble -- just attach the rocker pieces at the bottom. If anybody at RockingChairs.com reads this, I would suggest that you also make a web page under a different name than "The Jack and Jill Child's Rocker", because this rocking chair is nice in a nursery, or for kids up to age 12, but it's perfect for adult guitar or banjo players too. This model of rocking chair has been used to shell peas and beans on the front porch in the summertime, for close to 100 years -- it's a genuine classic model, made in the USA. If you have a guitar player in the house, this rocking chair will disappear out of the nursery in a heartbeat. This rocking chair is extremly difficult for guitar players to find, and it would be a kindness for you to sell this chair up on [@] I have been looking for one of these since 1987... so... THANK YOU!
