It is made in China, but was desperate to get something for Christmas. I almost made the mistake of not ordering it just because it is made in China. I cannot explain how impressed I am. The table, chairs, and bench were beyond simple to assemble. In fact the screws lined up and fit in the holes so well, I hand tightened it all due to being to tired while helping Santa's elf's! I tightened the next morning when I had some sleep. Daddy is deployed so the fact that I did this all on my own and had it set up with new china tea set for our 4 year old twins was awesome! I think they should be able to use until age 8 or more. The finish is very nice although I haven't had to remove any spots yet. The bench is stored underneath the table for visiting friends and their "babies" have high chairs on the ends. Very nice "a little bigger" size than the normal smaller toddler size. color really seems white to me with our white wood work etc. Although there is a slight off white when held against white paper. But matches just fine!
